Kids with ADHD May Learn Better by Fidgeting ... http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1887486,00.html?iid=perma...

That might explain a few things.

For the record, I'm somewhere in the autism spectrum closer to the Asperger side of things. I've been mis-diagnosed with a number of things including traces of ADHD at one point.

I've also learned how to "Fake It" for the most part. I still hate crowds and when I'm not running at full throttle I'd rather avoid people in general.

I Know What I Am

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/02/27/education.school.year/index.html

Duncan said American students are "at a competitive disadvantage" because the United States has shorter school years than other countries such as India and China.

The competitive disadvantage is that our public schools are a failure. Longer school years will not change this. Changing what we teach and how we teach it is the only way to solve this problem.

I used to recommend Uverse to everyone. Now I'm not sure if I'll continue to do that.

Hard Act to Follow

Sun, 03/29/2009 - 11:32 — darthclue

Worst. Possible. Luck.

Or, more things I could live without.

If you've read the previous couple of posts you know that I recently had an insignificant organ removed after it decided to grow and become a pest.

Earlier this week (either Monday or Tuesday) while sitting at my desk at work I began experiencing a very sharp and annoying pain in my lower left back. My immediate thought was "Great, now what?" and that was shortly followed up by "@#^! this hurts!"

The Things I Eat

This is my attempt at trying to watch what I eat to determine if,

a) I'm eating enough
b) I'm eating right

I've always been a picky eater and trended towards the unhealthy junk food so now I'm attempting to see just how bad my habits are.

Piano Sonata No. 14 in C Sharp

Wed, 03/18/2009 - 12:50 — darthclue

My oldest child turned ten today. Ten!

It is difficult to fathom and even more difficult to determine where the time has gone.

Necessary Evil

Mon, 03/16/2009 - 04:35 — darthclue

As a follow up to things that you can live without...

I'm doing fine. The surgeon said that I had likely had gallstones for years (as in more than 5 and possibly greater than 10). I've got new scars. Madison keeps insisting on seeing my 'boo-boos' and refuses to stop saying 'daddy booboo'. She finally came over and gave me a hug tonight without pointing at my chest. She has not been very happy that I've been unable to play with her the whole week that I've been home.

You can live without that.

Sun, 03/08/2009 - 09:24 — darthclue

Extreme pain in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen wrapping around to the right shoulder blade accompanied by severe nausea and vomiting.

Also known as gallstones from hell.
