Friday, 5:30 AM : Even though I don't have to go to work today, I do have to go to the doctor. It's in the same area as my office so I still have to get up at the same time in order to make a futile attempt at beating traffic.
8:00 AM : Construction, rain, and people who really shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel mean that instead of getting here ten minutes early I'm just barely here on time.
8:01 AM : "You'll be seeing a different doctor today. They didn't tell you that did they?"
8:03 AM : "The doctor won't be here till 8:45. That won't be a problem will it?"
8:45 AM : "Right this way. The doctor will be with you shortly."
9:15 AM : Well, that was a nice nap.
9:17 AM : "The CT showed two stones. One 3MM and other 2MM. You likely passed the first one. Let's get an X-Ray and see if the other is still in there. And the pain you're presently having is likely just residual inflammation and should go away in a few days."
9:30 AM : "Here's the other stone, still in your kidney. You'll likely pass it soon. If you feel like you're passing it, call me and take this medicine. Otherwise, I'll see you in six months and well see if it's grown."
9:50 AM : "Your grandmother is in the hospital. She's in pain. They've got her on drugs but not sure what's wrong. Call me." - Mom
